Russia’s EuroChem sales soar 75% to 1.1 mln tns in 2019

MOSCOW, Feb 5 (PRIME) – The sales of Russian fertilizer producer EuroChem grew by 75% to 1.104 million tonnes in 2019, the group said in a statement on Wednesday.

Revenue rose 80% to U.S. $422.6 million.

“A breakdown of EuroChem’s sales by region showed strong geographical diversification in the key global agricultural regions. Europe and the CIS remained the group’s most significant markets reflecting their geographic proximity to its main production sites. In 2019 there was a slight dip in the Russian market’s contribution to total sales, mainly due to redirection of iron ore volumes to the Asian markets,” EuroChem said, adding that North and South Americas continued to be strategically important markets.

Sales to Latin America grew by almost 33%, and to North America rose 18%.
